Barbara graduated from The School of Dramatic Arts (University of Sao Paulo). She has worked in Brazil and Canada in numerous theatre productions, films, TV commercials, videos and voice-over productions.
Barbara comes to Canada as an award-winning actress. She was the recipient of the ‘Best Newcomer Actress Award’ by Sao Paulo’s Association of Critics of Art.
She was also nominated for ‘Best Supporting Actress’ by the Sao Paulo Association of Play Producers for her role in the ‘Farse of the Dragon’s Head’ by Ramon del Valle Inclan.
As a writer, Barbara created the plays ‘Breasts’(2000), ‘Cut & Fried’(2005), and ‘Se Essa Rua Fosse Minha’(2012). In 2014, Barbara adapted ‘Cut and Fried’ into a short film directed by the award-winning director, Mark Datuin. Barbara also wrote the following shorts: The Kiss, Duellum, A Partilha, Locals, The Book of Fate, The Other Daughter, Milena and Emma.
